When you have children to raise, sometimes working from home can seem like a pipe dream. Being able to work from home is a huge advantage, especially for the moms out there who want to keep working. It surely gives you the flexibility to spend more time with your kids and literally watch them to grow up.  But you have to expect that if there are leisure of working from home, there is a hardship too.

Feeling lost when you work from home with your kids? Here are some helpful tips to assist you at home!

Being a work-from-home mom is tough these days, especially if your child is still young and not manageable yet. Most of the work-from-home moms are taking care of their toddlers and believe me, this is very tough. They often demand a lot of attention, and you don’t want them watching hours of television, just so you can get your work done. Some of the work from home moms out there are often having a hard time managing kids, household chores and their workloads all together, every day.

This is seriously not easy and if you’re not patient enough, you’ll end up stressing yourself or worst, quitting your job.

And we don’t want that to happen. For me, it’s personally fulfilling that I can still do lots of work, earn money, being a career woman somehow while raising my kid well all at the same time. But one thing is for sure, this is a very, very hard – not kidding at all. So, make our life easier, we’re going to share these simple tips to help you on working from home with your kids.

  • Organizational Skills

I know that most of us are unorganized, but you need this, you really do. You need to be organized in everything you do. I suggest to keep your workloads organize, your to-do house chores organize, and other things you need to do throughout the day. It doesn’t have to be perfect but be as organized as you can. It will save you a lot of time and energy

  • Time Management

It comes hand in hand with your organizational skills. I know that it’s sometimes impossible to get the job done with a timeframe especially if you have a toddler but try to set time for everything. Upon organizing your daily to-do works, try setting timeframe too. It this way, you’ll know what’s the priority, what comes first and what comes last.

  • Set Goals and Deadlines for Yourself

Even though you’re very busy being a mom and an employee, set deadlines ahead of time. I know it’s very hard because sometimes things get crazy but try to cheat. Try to tell yourself “That’s okay, the deadline for this is next week.” Well, we often do that but at least try not to. Try to get things done ahead of time so you can enjoy the more free time!

  • Be Flexible

It’s one of the most important things. Be as flexible as you can. Remember that if it’s mommy time, let go of stressful work for a while and enjoy the time with your kids. They’ll grow faster than you realize. When it’s time to work, you’ll transform into the supermom that you can be and try not to get distracted. I know, it’s hard because you need to focus on work while taking care of your child or children at the same time. What works for me is ensuring that an activity that will captivate their attention while I focus on mine.

You need a lot of patience, very strong organizational skills and a cup of coffee to keep you going. At the end of the day, you’ll feel fulfilled. You’ll feel complete. You’ll feel how amazing you are – you can do a lot of things at the same time and that’s a very big achievement! The smiles and laughs of our child keep all the stress away. Just keep going mommy, you’re doing an amazing job!
